I sifted through hundreds of offers to find the ones that actually stand out — only the deepest discounts on the best products made the cut. Whether you need faster Wi-Fi, a better video doorbell, a more capable smart lock, or a robot vacuum that can keep up with your floors, these are the gadgets I recommend grabbing while prices are low.
Good value Wi-Fi
- The foundation of a good smart home is Wi-Fi, so if you’re still rocking a router with Wi-Fi 6 or even 5, Prime Day is a good time to upgrade. All of Amazon’s eero mesh Wifi routers are on sale, and its flagship eero Pro 7 is down to $549.99 from $699.99. If you don’t need that much power, the equally capable eero Pro 6E is down to $329 for a three-pack.
Google Nest Wifi Pro
If you’re a Google smart home user, the Google Nest Wifi Pro sporting 6E is almost 40 percent off for a three-pack. In addition to Wi-Fi 6E, the Pro supports Matter and Thread smart home connectivity.

Smarter doorbells for less
Ecobee Smart Doorbell Camera
The excellent Ecobee Smart Doorbell Camera is down to $119. It features free person detection and works with every smart home platform. Plus, if you have an Ecobee Thermostat, you can use it as a video intercom.

- Ring’s newest doorbell cameras are 50 percent off for Prime Day. The Ring Wired 2K is $39.99, and the Ring Battery 2K is $49.99. These aren’t top-of-the-line; that’s the Pro 4K model (which is on sale for 28 percent off, down to $179.99). But 2K video still works with Ring’s AI-powered features, which give you a clearer picture of what’s happening around your home. These require a Ring subscription, as does viewing any recorded video.
- The newest Google Nest video doorbell, the Wired 2K, is down to $138.99 from $179.99 and, unlike Ring models, comes with free 10-second clips. Google also has new Gemini AI-powered features for sifting through your footage, which are part of its Google Home Premium subscription.
Save on smart locks
Level Lock Pro
The Level Lock Pro is the best smart lock that doesn’t look like a smart lock. This model has an upgraded processor, a built-in door sensor, and Matter-over-Thread connectivity. It works with Apple Home Key for tap-to-unlock and is $54 off for Prime Day.

Aqara Smart Lock U400
The only smart lock that works with Apple Home’s hands-free Home Key feature, the U400 is down to its lowest price. Aqara’s first UWB-enabled smart lock also features fingerprint access, a keypad, a keyway, and support for tap-to-unlock with iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones, thanks to Aliro.

- The rubbed bronze version of the versatile Yale Assure Lock 2 with Wi-Fi is $70 off on Prime Day. This lock features a real keypad, not a touchscreen, along with support for all the major smart home platforms, including Apple Home (although it doesn’t work with Home Key).

Narwal Flow 2
My pick for the best robot vacuum-mop if you have all hardwood floors is the Narwal Flow 2, which is $450 off. A superb mop with a wide flat roller pad and an excellent vacuum, the Flow 2 also has top-notch navigation and obstacle detection. Its sleek base station is also less of an eyesore than most.

At $499.99, Dreame’s L40 Ultra Gen 2 is a great deal. This midrange robot vacuum mop has many high-end features, including auto-detachable spinning mop pads, good camera-based obstacle detection, and a multifunction dock with hot-water washing and hot-air drying.

SwitchBot Standing Circulator Fan
This handy portable smart fan is down to under $100. It can run on battery or be plugged in for permanent power and works as a tabletop or standing fan. The SwitchBot Fan features oscillation, and a built-in night light with smart controls is available through the SwitchBot app or connected smart home platforms.

- SwitchBot’s Smart Candle Warmer is $10 off, down to $29.99 at Amazon. This is a delightful gadget and a solution to my firefighter husband’s fear of candles. You can set schedules to turn it on and off in the app or any connected smart home platform and have pleasant scents waft safely throughout your home on demand.
Slashed prices on smart lighting
Philips Hue Twilight sleep-wake lamp
Grab a great deal on this gorgeous sleep-wake light, now at its lowest-ever price. This striking lamp does so much more than just gradually brighten the light. Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 8K

- For $51 on Amazon, this is one of the lowest prices I’ve ever seen on a Philips Hue light strip. Part of its new Essentials line, the Essential 16ft LED Strip Light, RGBIC, can work with or without a Hue bridge and has all the same features as Hue’s higher-priced models.
SwitchBot Bot
Make any switch smart with this SwitchBot Bot button pusher for just $19.99, its lowest price ever. This finger-like robot can automatically press any button for you; just stick it on whatever you want to turn on or off, and you’re set.
