I encountered this thing because I wanted to restrict my nintendo switch from accessing my home network.
Few day ago I put the switch's MAC address in the ban list on the configurations of my router. And it worked, that device couldn`t access de network. But it still tried to connect (it still had the wi-fi password). So, some hours came by and later that switch got internet access through my network. I presume it bypassed the ban list, however, now I can't access my router settings...
