Just bought a 2021 Tiguan a few weeks ago and the previous owner mentioned the rear pads were probably due in another five thousand kilometers or so and I'm the type who likes to have stuff ready before the warning light actually pops up and starts annoying me every morning, but walking into a parts shop in Al Quoz yesterday was overwhelming because the guy behind the counter showed me three different brands ranging from some no name stuff that was suspiciously cheap to OEM Textar that was almost double and I just stood there like a deer in headlights not knowing if the expensive ones actually make a difference on a family SUV or if I'm just paying for fancy packaging. I've been googling around trying to figure out if I should just find some Volkswagen brake pad specialists in UAE who can do the whole thing for me and not make me second guess my choices, because honestly I'd rather pay a bit extra for someone who knows these MQB platform cars inside out than be the guy who cheaps out on pads and ends up with squealing brakes that drive my wife crazy every time she takes the car to the mall. Anyone else with a Tiguan or an Allspace have a go to compound they've been happy with for a couple of years cause I'm really not trying to do this again in twelve months.
