i used hekate+atmosphere to run cfw on my switch. I was a noob at the start. So when i loaded hekate and hit "launch" it showed 3 options to launch: sysnand (cfw), emmunand (cfw), and stock. First time I hit sysnand (cfw) but wasn't able to load homebrew by hitting the "album" button. I connected to the wifi to update to fw 9.2.0 while on the sysnand(cfw) launcher. Will nintendo detect cfw if i never accessed the homebrew menu and connected online?
