RSS Anyone using an external SSD with SX OS? Undocked?

Just curious about this.
SSDs are way more expensive than HDDs and it's not like the Switch is really using the extra speed (the USB port is the bottleneck) but SSDs do have another two advantages for me:

1. They are silent
2. They are not destroyed if I drop them on the floor accidentally

That's why I'm thinking about a SSD rather than upgrading my SD card.
So a few questions:

1. Is anybody using a SSD with SX OS and does it work?
2. Does it work in handheld mode...
