I recently bought a broken Switch Lite from ebay. The charging voltage is stable 5V but the current is varying between 0.05 and 0.41 amps. So I opened it and checked the motherboard for shorts, but I couldn't find any. So my guess was that it could be the battery that is faulty. I removed the battery and then noticed that the charging current was stable at 0.4 amps when I pushed onto the cable coming out of the battery but the Switch still won't turn on.
