RSS Mariko memory cannot go above 1600MHz?

I've been talking about the Switch Pro with my friend and he insists the Mariko SoC memory cannot go above 1600Mhz, he says they'd have to make significant changes to the SoC to go above 1600... is this true? I hope this isn't true because that probably means the Switch Pro (or whatever they decide to call it) will be stuck at 1600Mhz
