RSS Holding R While Starting A Game No Longer Works?

Hello, I am trying to boot into hbmenu without using applet mode. I have never had this issue before. I am on Atmosphere 0.19.5 on firmware 12.1.0. When using hbmenu with the gallery in applet mode it works fine. Is there anything I should be checking?
