I am coming from repairing mostly MacBook Airs.
This is my first attempt at a Switch repair.
This unit won't turn on.
No water damage:
Drawing 40mA when plugged in.
I could only find one short at the circled cap near ALC5639.
This is a Realtek audio chip correct?
I am not sure if this is a related issue to the power on or not.
I will have to order a chip as I don't have a donor board.
Could this cause a power on issue?
I am planning on removing the ALC5639 and seeing if...
