RSS Emunand vs sysnand on 9.1.0

Did nothing get broken in the update when switching from sysnand to emunand?

I haven't updated either of my emunand or sysnand to the latest but Diablo 3 now requires latest firmware to connect to blizzard servers...

Can I update sysnand only for now? I know atmosphere doesn't support 9.1 yet.
