RSS Took my dad's advice and got an X5 looked at properly, best money I've spent all year

Seller being genuinely shocked and knocking money off the price is actually the best possible outcome from an inspection. Either he truly did not know about the fault which is concerning for different reasons, or he did know and the inspection caught it anyway. Either way you came out ahead.
